Nice Pair of Original Antique WWI Wool Uniform Pants, Dated 1917, Size 32 WaistDESCRIPTION:
Scans show them all….very nice
REGULATION WWI ARMY WOOL UNIFORM PANTS. These are very early, OVER 100 YEARS OLD NOW!!
Great looking, standard style WWI uniform pants with "riding breeches look", having baggy seat, wide puffy hips, button fly, padded inner thighs, and lace-up ankles/calves. Buttons are all there and each is marked "US ARMY". All lacing holes on the lower leggings are there, AS WELL AS BOTH LACES. Appear to have been used based on the presence of the laces.
In very good, original condition, amazing for a 100 year old wool item that has been used. All seams and stitching is tight and intact. About 10 very small holes near the fly, but can be easily repaired.
Still have the original tag behind the pocket. Made by the Woodbine Children's Clothing Co, Woodbine, NJ, and dated Oct. 27th, 1917. Also other contract info, etc. No size shown, but waist measures 32" and length is about 38" from waist to bottom of legs (seems long, but they wore them high!). Wool has really nice feel to it. These would look great for any early collection or display item, and nice condition for the age.
Uniform pants are a scarce uniform accessory item.
Particularly nice, particularly scarce.
