    Nice Pair of Original Antique WWI Officer's Privately Made Uniform Riding Pants, Cavalry
    DESCRIPTION:
    Scans show them all….very nice WWI privately tailored "baggy" officer's riding or cavalry uniform pants.
    Great looking, WWI style officer's uniform pants with "riding breeches look", having baggy seat, wide puffy hips below the waist, button fly, and leather/suede inner thigh patches. All similar to typical WWI style, but privately contracted and tailored. Front and rear pockets. All of the buttons are there on the fly. These were not intended to have lacing holes, buttons, or tighter lower leggings. This pair appears to have been used. Either intended as riding pants or cavalry pants based on the heavy leather inner ankle thighs.
    In excellent, original condition, amazing for a 100 year old cloth item that has been used. All seams and stitching is tight and intact. No moth damage anywhere.
    No size shown, but waist measures about 29" and length is about 38" from top of waist to bottom of legs (seems long, but they wore them high on the waist!). Cloth has really nice feel to it. Not rough or coarse as issue enlisted man's pants. These might have been summer weight uniform. These would look great for any early collection or display item, and nice condition for the age.
    Uniform pants are a scarce uniform accessory item, especially officer's or cavalry/riding pants.
    Particularly nice, particularly scarce.
