The artist here, who is quit noted for his subjects of places, history and people
where he uses things of past and present for his work.  In this work he shows has a lady with her two children, while carrying a
load of laundry as they walk along the road, to somewhere.  The setting seems to be out in the countryside along a road.
The use of dark colors, possibly showing the mood of the Victorian age.  This box is 3.5 by 5 by 1 inch and has the label "Made in Russia" on the
back of the box. His signature and date (2000) are located at the bottom of the front of the box (in Russian).
