Parker 51 Vacumatic fountain pen, Grey with lustralloy cap, 14k Nib, Restored.
Nice Parker 51 Grey Vacumatic with Lustralloy cap.
No major defects or significant signs of use. The cap is without dents or scratches.
The nib is 14K gold and writes smooth fine line. Interestingly, the nib was double stamped as shown in the photos.
The hood has some faint discoloration - possible from use and submersion in ink as the line is smooth and distinct. it is very minor overall and does not detract from the pen.
The rest of the barrel and blind cap are in very good condition. The barrel stamp and date code show some wear but are legible. Looks like this is from 1st quarter 1948.
The entire pen has been disassembled, cleaned, and polished by hand. The diaphragm has been replaced and the pen is ready to write.
