Vintage 1949 Parker 51 Demi Aerometric Fountain Pen Pencil Cocoa 12K Gold Filled

Very nice Parker 51 Demi Fountain Pen and Pencil set.  The fountain pen has an Aerometric Filler, which was first offered in 1948.  As you can see from the photos, they are in good shape for its age.  The set is not personalized or engraved.
The cocoa barrel of the fountain pen has typical signs of wear, but there are no bite marks or cracks visible.  The  fountain pen cap features the iconic arrow clip and is marked "1/10 12K Gold Filled."  The clip is firmly attached and it rests tight to the cap.  The cap jewel appears to be plastic.  The cap shows typical signs of wear, and there are some small dents.
The pencil is also in good shape.  The cap moves cleanly to extend the lead.  The arrow clip is firmly attached and rests tight to the body.  The cap shows typical signs of wear, and there are some small dents.
The date code on the pen is "9" with three dots, indicating it was manufactured in the first quarter of a year that ended in 9.  Parker first offered the Aerometric filler in 1948, and they also changed to a two year date code in 1950 (i.e. "50") so I believe this pen was manufactured in 1949.
PLEASE NOTE:  I have not inked the Pen so I do not know if it will need additional parts and/or service to function.  When I cleaned the pen, the existing ink reactivated and the pen wrote smoothly.
Both the pen and pencil were lightly cleaned with mild soap and water and thoroughly dried.
