This set could be used any time during the year but it would be dynamite during the Christmas season with the green color and all the sparkle. Mom is 8.5" tall and there are no chips or cracks on the set. On the back is "59" which I'm assuming the date it was made. I didn't get the starfish with the set but have included them as think they look really cute with these girls. The starfish were meant to sit on a counter so don't have any hooks or holes on the back, so I am including some double sided mounting tape on the back so you can mount them on the wall with that.
