    Description

    WWI US Navy Warrant Officers Uniform. Excellent example and a high quality tunic from the exclusive clothier Jacob Reed's Sons from Philadelphia. Heavy wool material with highly detailed embroidered details on the front and back. Embroidered cuff bands. Gold bullion anchors with USN on the collar. Buttoned slit on left side for wearing a sword. Named to D Y Miller. Fully lined in excellent condition. No flaws I can find. Hard to find a better example from the WWI era. Condition is "Used".     A fellow eBayer indicated this may not be a Warrant Officers tunic. Due to the lack of gold cuff braid the rank is undetermined. This could predate WWI since Jacob Reed's Sons began offering uniforms in the mid 1800's. It is listed as accurately as possible but with some uncertainty. In any event it is a wonderful piece.
